Lendalfoot Hills

Just a few random photos from the top of the hill which i took with my Nikon coolpix Li8 digital camera, to your left is bennane caravan park and if you continue along the road you`ll reach ballantrae then further south stranraer, to your right lendalfoot then onwards to girvan, turnberry, maybole and to ayr.

Sawney Bean`s Cave

Outside Sawney Bean`s Cave.

The cave was 200 yards deep and during high tide the entrance was blocked by water, and is said to be today's Bennane Cave, located between Girvan and Ballantrae in Ayrshire. Alexander "Sawney" Bean(e) was the legendary head of a 48-member clan in 15th- or 16th-century Scotland, reportedly executed for the mass murder and cannibalization of over 1,000 people.
